The Many Benefits of Aloe Vera

One of the key ingredients in all Organic Prestige products is a wonderful and prickly plant called Aloe Vera. You have probably heard of it, right? Do you know why it is such a popular ingredient in the organic skin and hair care world? We love this plant so much, we could not resist writing a brief explanation of why!

Aloe Vera is a type of plant called a succulent. It generally grows in tropical climates around the world. It is usually relatively small, and it has thick, serrated, spiky leaves that are filled will a clear gel-like organic material. These leaves, and their gel, are what contain all the great nutrients we love so much. 

The nutrients contained in Aloe Vera:

Vitamin A: Integral for a strong immune system and bone growth. It helps fight off viral or bacterial threats to the body.

Vitamin C: A powerhouse vitamin that is believed to protect against cancer and cardiovascular problems.  It also supports the immune system.
